
Susanne Cambre
CEO
Susanne Cambre is a graduate of the Tulane University Freeman School of Business graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Accounting in 1984. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law in 1987. She is admitted to practice in the Louisiana and Texas Bar Associations as well as the United States Supreme Court. She is a founding partner of the Dwyer, Cambre & Suffern law firm formed in 1994 and has an active real estate, business and transactional law practice. Ms. Cambre has been a guest lecturer in bankruptcy law at the University of New Orleans and in land development law and real estate foreclosure at Loyola University College of Law. Ms. Cambre has also been an instructor for several real estate and title insurance seminars through the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. She has lectured on closings, boundary law and survey review through the National Business Institute. Ms. Cambre is a licensed title insurance agent and is a member of the New Orleans’ chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women. She has been instrumental in the development of various commercial projects and real estate brokerage businesses.
Currently Ms. Cambre holds the highest (AV) lawyer rating by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected in 2014 as a Top Rated Lawyer in real estate and finance.
In addition to her legal practice and business interests, Ms. Cambre has had the privilege of serving The J.M. Burguières Co., Limited (JMB) in several capacities. Ms. Cambre was appointed to the first JMB Advisory Board, the first Family Council and was with the first JMB group to attend the Harvard Business School Families in Business Program. She has served as a director of the Company since 2005, held the office of President from 2009 until 2012 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board.
Susanne enjoys charitable fundraising, cycling and travel. She is married to Frederick Dwyer and they have two grown daughters. She resides in Mandeville, Louisiana.
